Scratch for lessons: project, blocks and sprites
Start with a learning task: what should the sprite do, and what concept should students explore? Edvanta creates a small Scratch project, a block-program worksheet and a separate image archive.
- Provide the grade, topic and behaviour: for example, move ten steps three times, use a counter and arrow-key controls. Movement, loops, conditions, variables and dialogue are supported.
- Download Project.sb3 and open it in Scratch using File → Load from your computer. Sprites and the backdrop are included. Click the green flag and check the result.
- Open the worksheet: its block diagram is compiled from the same project. Exercises and answer space are separate from teacher answers. Scratch_Assets.zip contains sprites, the backdrop and block diagrams.
- Request a specific change, such as “Add right-arrow controls and keep the counter”. Check the new version before teaching. Code blocks and identifiers are English; explanations use your selected language. EV3, sound, camera and external extensions are not supported yet.
Example request
Grade 3, Scratch loops. A cat moves 10 steps 3 times; the counter increases by 1 after each repeat. Add three tasks that modify the program.Create Scratch project
