Online lesson plans: brief or expanded?
Choose the format that helps you teach. A brief plan works when you know the method and want activities in an appendix. An expanded plan also places complete activity instructions in the student actions.
- Provide subject, grade, topic and verified learning objectives. Check the curriculum rather than supplying an invented official code.
- Choose brief or expanded. Both preserve activities in the appendix; the expanded version includes instructions in the lesson flow.
- Select a method that serves the objective, such as storytelling or inquiry based on observations.
- Check timings, activity alignment and assessment criteria. Request a specific revision, such as “Simplify activity 2 while keeping the objective and criteria”.
